Prevention first programme for Older People


Bluemarble has just completed work on the Solution Centre for the Older people prevention first programme with the Borough of Kings Lynn and West Norfolk. The project has produced some innovative and exciting ideas for improving access to early help for older people.

There has been plenty of lively debate and lots of ideas for new ways of working. People came from a wide range of organisations, which reflects a shared agenda that is of importance to everyone.

Participants included individuals from the KLWN Policy and Partnerships Team, Care and Repair Team, Customer Information Centre, Benefits Visiting Team, Public Health Norfolk County Council,
West Norfolk Voluntary Community Action, West Norfolk Clinical Commissioning Group, Norfolk County Council, West Norfolk Older Person’s Forum,

West Norfolk Deaf Association,
Age UK,
West Norfolk MIND,
East of England Local Government Association, West Norfolk Carers, West Norfolk Disability Information Service, Norfolk Fire Service, Red Cross, Freebridge Housing

Breckland Older Person’s Forum,
King’s Lynn Advice Hub
and East of England Ambulance Service

An implementation programme and funding package will be considered shorty by the KLWN Alliance Board.
